Female red wolf a year after being fostered into a wild den at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge by US Fish and Wildlife

The bright orange collars, which serve various functions to help ensure red wolf survival, can't be placed on the red wolves until they are grown up. This wild female was fostered into a wild den in 2021 and was briefly captured in 2022 to get a collar placed before being released again.
